The main plot thrust of this season concerns the efforts of Ji Hoon and policeman Joon Ho (Wei Ha Joon) – who was revealed to have survived being shot at the end of Season 1 – to bring down the game. It is an impossible task from the outside due to its secrecy. No one even knows where the island where the events take place is. Which is why Ji Hoon allows himself to be kidnapped into the game for a second time, and once again takes on the ID 456. But there’s a big twist in revamping the challenges themselves: the menacing front man (Lee Byung Hun) also puts himself in the game, and takes on the ID 001, ostensibly to stop Gi Hoon. -hun.
