The interior of the shoe is lined with purple cotton terry, and the sidewalls are reinforced with two high-gloss logos. All of this sits atop a White rubber midsole. But while most troops since the 1980s have had “Air” stamped along the back, this one gets the A Ma Maniére branding instead. Why? Well, just so everyone knows this is no ordinary collaboration.
A Ma Maniére has been an institution in the sneaker world since 2014. Founded by designer James Whitner, the brand’s French name translates to “on my way” — a nod to the way the designer has always done things on his own terms. Besides “Sesame”, the “While You Were Sleeping” lineup also includes other interesting drops such as Air Jordan 4 (which launched a few months ago) as well as the brand’s first-ever Air Max 95. And with this collection celebrating AMM’s 10th anniversary, it’s safe to say it’s a pretty big deal.
The A Ma Maniére x Nike Air Force 1 ‘WYWS’ is set to release on November 22nd via What a manery For about $150. A much larger launch will then take place Nikeand the SNKRS app, and select dealers worldwide over the next few weeks.
